Sicbo is a three-dice game from China: the dealer shakes three dice under a cover and you bet on what the total, a number or a combination will be. The headline bets are Small, which needs a total between 4 and 10, and Big, which needs 11 through 17, both paid at even money. Any triple beats both, and that rule is the source of the house edge. MERRYPH’s Live tab carries about 23 sicbo titles, from plain dice tables to Evolution’s multiplier versions.
Sicbo bets, real chances and edges
Three dice give 216 equally likely rolls. Payouts for the longer bets vary between studios, so the right-hand column shows the arithmetic, not a promise.
| Bet | Wins on | Rolls out of 216 | Even-money or common payout | Edge at that payout |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Small / Big | 4-10 / 11-17, no triple | 105 | 1:1 | about 2.78% |
| Single number | Your number on 1, 2 or 3 dice | 91 | 1:1, 2:1, 3:1 | about 7.87% |
| Any triple | All three dice the same | 6 | 30:1 | about 13.9% |
| Specific triple | Three of your number | 1 | 180:1 | about 16.2% |
The pattern is the same as in roulette: the rarer the win, the bigger the payout and, here, the bigger the slice the house keeps. Totals such as 4 or 17 sit at the far end too.
Working through Big at ₱50 a roll
- Bring ₱500 and stake ₱50 a roll on Big: ten straight losses would empty it.
- Expect to win about 49 rolls in 100; over that stretch the 2.78 percent edge costs about ₱139 on ₱5,000 staked.
- Swap to a specific triple at ₱50: you would need roughly 216 rolls on average to see one hit.
- That is why curators put Big and Small first and triples last.
Totals work the same way. A total of 10 or 11 is the most common at 27 rolls in 216 each, while 4 and 17 come up only 3 times in 216, which is why their payouts are the biggest on the board.
Super Sic Bo and Lightning Sic Bo
Evolution runs both on its Live tile, and each changes the maths differently.
| Version | What it adds | What it costs |
|---|---|---|
| Super Sic Bo | Each round some spots carry random multipliers, capped at 1000x | Its own paytable, shown inside the game |
| Lightning Sic Bo | At least four spots are boosted, anywhere from 5x to 2000x | A 20% fee on every bet |
Evolution’s pages confirm that Small and Big still lose to any triple on Super Sic Bo. If you only play Big or Small, a plain table usually serves you better.
The sicbo shortlist in this lobby
- Evolution: Emperor Sic Bo A, Lightning Sic Bo, Super Sic Bo, Speed Super Sic Bo and plain Emperor Sic Bo.
- PP: Sic Bo and Mega Sic Bac. SEXY: Extra Sicbo tables. VIA: Classic Sic Bo and Tai Xiu.
- Software: JILI’s Sic Bo, R88’s LuckySicBo, GPI’s Sic Bo and Color Sic Bo, and KM’s Sic Bo in Arcade.
If you came from the perya, the single-number bet plays exactly like the Color Game’s three-dice payouts. Fans of even-money bets can compare Big and Small with roulette’s single-zero colours. The sicbo and dice house edge page lines up every game, and the live casino game list has the rest.
How to Get Started
-
Start on Big or Small
They win almost half the time and carry the lowest edge on the table, so a budget lasts longest there.
-
Read the paytable for totals and triples
Studios set their own payouts for exact totals, doubles and triples; the figure on your table's screen is the only one that counts.
-
Know what the multiplier costs
On Lightning Sic Bo every bet carries a 20 percent fee; decide whether a 5x to 2000x chance is worth that before playing.
